I havent shopped at Gamestop in 2 years because their trade in prices are low compared to the competition and Amazon is way more convenient. I already go somewhere else. Doesnt mean that people cant comment on what is a huge invasion of privacy in order to trade in a game.

I fail to see the issue as it is not forced on anybody. If GS asks me for my fingerprints I'll just go somewhere else.

That private business line has always been BS and is still BS. The "you can always go somewhere else" line was also used in the Jim Crow south when private businesses refused to serve minorities too. It wasnt valid then and isnt valid now. Just because a business can do something doesnt mean they should.

It is their store and it is not illegal, so the argument is very valid.

If you do not like the way a place operates, there are plenty of alternatives.

If their municipality deems then a Pawn shop, they don't have a choice do they?

I get why they are doing this, apparently trading in stolen games has become a real issue, and they could find them selves liable in some way.

Am I off on this Aaron?

In this case though it is valid. If you don't like the way they do business, don't do business with them. There are plenty of other competitors in that business space.
