It'll be really fun in about 5 years when you'll have to get your blood drawn before you can trade in games, and I'm sure people will find a justification for that too. =]

Most aren't "justifying" anything. They just don't care.

I agree here. It's the stores policy and that's what they want to do, then it's their call. I'm sure they have been burned a lot on stolen merchandise and this is why they are doing it. They know some folks won't trade in games there because of this policy. They have to weight options:

Loss in money taking in stolen goods vs Loss in money for those that won't trade in games due to this policy.


I'm not justifying anything, just saying it their company and if they want to implement the policy go ahead.

I don't trust big business or big government so I don't really trust anyone taking my finger prints or any other personal information that, to me, seems highly unnecessary. Say what you will, but in this day and age there's already too much information floating out there for the wrong people to grab up. With the way things look to be continuing, though, I can see this becoming an issue within 5-10 years.

And therein lies the modern day problem. This is just a microcosm. As long as I can get MY game, app, free DL, shoes, pad/tablet, phone, drink, doobie, (excuse me .... #doobie) etc., etc., etc., etc., I don't really care. Take my fingerprint, palm print, blood/urine/semen/stool sample..... just so I can get mine.
