I'll more than likely pre-order CFB 25; not sure if I'll get Madden day 1 or wait. The fact that college football is returning and the possibility of their being some interconnectivity between CFB 25 and Madden 25 makes it more likely I would buy Madden.

A lot of those kids are getting their education paid for. If they don't want to be in the game, that's fine. Over 5k already have opted in.

Not going to lie. I may not purchase Madden this year, if the CFB game is all that we want it to be. No hate involved. It's simply that one game or the other will just kind of take over my time and focus.

Schools make millions off their football programs.

So much so, in most cases, the football program funds all the other sports schools participate in.

Forget arguing/discussion about why players are or arent getting money for the game. The more important is WHY would you pay twice for THE SAME game rebranded with college overlay
I cant find it now, but someone did have a good point about 3 - 4 year roster turnover.

Totally in fun. Just trying to change the subject from who in college gets what LOL. I really dont care what others do. Its your money.

Franchise SIM is dead. Find your favorite iterations and play it forever. Card games are whats "now" and games will cater in that direction and forget realism.

Just have fun and play :)

The football and basketball programs are funding the other sports programs out of necessity, not because they are raking in so much cash they do it out of the goodness of their hearts. Regardless of your political opinions on Title IX, that ruling has led to where football programs especially are the resource behind most other sports that universities still carry.

I also feel people really only take a look at revenue numbers and don't really care about how many expenses are actually incurred directly and indirectly, so they don't realize that the vast majority of athletic programs are not turning a profit at all. Actually, I don't just feel that way, I know that's the case.

I'm an accountant, I used to be in public accounting for some years. I did audit work and most of the entities I audited where government entities, many of them colleges. I know just how little profit is actually made in collegiate athletics because I've seen it firsthand. For every Texas that might be turning a potential profit thanks to their ridiculous fundraising and brand outreach, there are 100+ other D1 schools that have no shot of turning a profit. So, for a lot of these schools, if they ever actually entered into an agreement with the student athletes where they did a profit sharing plan, we'd see a lot of CFB players actually having to pay their universities back since there would be no net income, lol.
