I don't understand how Jake is still in the game, how many seizures has he had? how does he keep getting cleared to continue?

Can’t tell if he’s having a seizure or fainting. I assume due to dehydration and stuff. Surprised we don’t see that way more. Seems kind of dangerous when the next challenge they’re on a tall platform.

I feel like he’s headed for a DQ though. They seem to be setting him up for a third strike type deal. Surprised Jeff didn’t get him checked out. He’s told players to check with medical after challenges if he’s heard they’re having some type of issue whether they show it or not in the challenge. I bet they are anyway because they caught the moments he passed out/had seizure on film. They gotta give him some type of check up, right?

Common thread seems to be him getting up from a sitting/laying down position so it seems like a lightheaded, fainting situation but then the convulsions however quick make it seem more like a seizure. Don’t know enough to say definitively.

Players do get checked out, they just don't usually show it unless it's a severe moment. Notice the bandages some people have?

His is definitely scary though, they've had people med evaced and visited by Jeff/medical for much less than this.

The editors obviously know how his time on the show played out, so however it's been edited has to have been done for a reason

but why show the medical issue and not follow up with medical coverage of the issue?, was it simply because Jeff wasn't on scene to call for it? Like, the show is making it seem like Medical doesn't come help unless Jeff calls for it, even though the viewer is well aware that Jeff isn't there, and if medical is necessary they bring it in, and then Jeff shows up on some raft and starts calling the shots, so why show him having these problems but not show him getting checked? people showing up with bandaids for scrapes are nothing burgers, people collapsing near a fire and convulsing, then collapsing and convulsing again later, seems like something that usually gets a follow up, even if it's just a person with a stethoscope giving a thumbs up

Getting caught up...

Wow, can't believe they had a 2nd quitter. Going back to my comment from before it's time to reevaluate the current casting plans.

With 90min episodes you would think they have enough time to just quickly have them check him out at least 1 time. Maybe it is a known issue coming in or he isn't taking some medication. The fire one you could blame on him hyperventilating and breathing in the smoke. Maybe he didn't get checked for that one but I would think after it happened a 2nd time they would check him.

Re: Survivor 45

If I get up to fast off the couch I can get really light headed and slightly black out. He is probably the same way and being in that condition makes it worse.

I imagine if it was a real issue they would show him getting checked.
