Re: NHL 2023 Offseason

Drouin coming to Colorado was the easiest bet of the free agency.

How the **** does Miles Wood get 6 years

Re: NHL 2023 Offseason

Leafs let Bunting, Kerfoot, O'Reilly, Schenn, Acciari, Gustafsson, Holl all leave (only Schenn and ROR I'm mad about).

Replace them with Reaves,Klingberg,Bertuzzi

If Leafs get 21/22 Bertuzzi that'd be great.

Rumors saying they also want Domi

That would be an interesting top 6

Bertuzzi-Matthews-Marner
Domi-Tavares-Nylander

Edit- Domi to the Leafs sounds like 1 year 3m!

Re: NHL 2023 Offseason

Toews not listed as an available free agent by his agency.

So, he either retired in the most nonchalant way ever or he signed and just can't officially sign with the team for a reason?

Re: NHL 2023 Offseason

Galchenyuk signed with the Coyotes.

2 weeks later he's being waived over what the Coyotes claim is due to "off ice findings" about him. Sounds like a complaint will be filed to the PA but he only has a case if the "off ice findings" isn't something actually bad (like maybe he failed his physical/failed to disclose some medical info?)

Speaking of complaint filed to the PA, it's unrelated to Galchenyuk, but the league could be suspending a few players over the Hockey Canada findings from a few years ago (yes, this is still going on).

I hope these guys get punished, but knowing the NHL and "hockey culture", it'll be a slap on the wrist, the typical "boys club" nonsense and if any of those players are even half decent, they'll find their way back to a team once they're eligible.

Imagine landing in a bunch of **** over Alex Galchenyuk.

Also, this is the third time he would have been a Coyote. Why did they keep letting him leave?

All the stuff that's come out about him...if any NHL team even tries signing him or the NHL even allows him back in the league, that'll just be another of many big failures in the NHL.

The leagues tend to protect only those who produce. I imagine Galchenyuk will receive a Leipsic/Virtanen one-way ticket to Europe.

Re: NHL 2023 Offseason

At least Galchenyuk can already speak Russian and has "connections" I guess.
