I think 2K would need to assure the survival of the league first, like with 3+ years of sustainability. If it wasn't for COVID and the antics that occurred with the AAF's founder, maybe there is a chance that we would've already been in that place for any of these spring leagues. One can hope they stick around.

Of course, with a game in place, that would also have more people tune and in and watch it as well. It's a chicken-egg scenario, but I would absolutely buy it if they made one.

I'm not going to lie, the only reason I wanted the XFL to survive in 2020 was because of the idea that another publisher gets the license to make a video game. I do agree that any publisher, would want to see some type of sustainability before investing. I do think it would benefit the UFL if they fully partner with the NFL to become a developmental league. They could still have their own rules and style of play. But, NFL could provide more talent, resources, and exposure for the UFL. UFL could trial more potential future rules for the NFL, allow guys who are low on the depth chart to get snaps in live games

I think they are going to wait until they see if the league is sustainable like someone else said. I do think it's possible given they already do the WWE games and The Rock who returned to WWE, owns the UFL.

I do really wonder if we will get anything this year about the NFL 2K game. Given how tight of a window 2K likes to have from the time they release the first information to launch, it's possible we don't hear about this until end of May beginning of June if it comes out say in August.

The NFL might as well open up the sim rights
Because of college football is in competition with Madden believe or not
Same company but it's still another sim football game on the market!

As far as I know EA doesn’t hold exclusive rights for simulation games in general. Others have even been made. Their exclusive deal (that I’m aware of) is only with the NFL.

According to Mike Straw of Insider Gaming, 2K is laying off workers from different areas including WWE2K and Top Spin 2K and sadly the In-Developmental NFL 2K game. So idk what this means now but it may not be good.

Not only that some of 2k games is getting scrapped
