The main thing hurting the industry is that publishers are listening to fans too much of what they THINK they want, instead of letting the developers create experiences based upon the artists who drive them.

Fan input is great, and needed, but to be to a far lesser degree than what is happening today.

The optimist in me still thinks a game is coming out at some point. Perhaps more resources were directed towards the NFL game from the WWE and Top Spin games?

I think the NFL license is just too important for 2K to ignore. And if you just follow the trail of news since the initial announcement, it's been pretty consistent.

It's either the NFL wanted to release it but 2K didn't feel the game was ready, 2K didn't like the direction and started over, and 2K would rather make a splash then be rushed. All of that hasn't changed, just the timeframe of the game's release.

Maybe it's just not ready and they will hire more people when development starts to pick up? I'm going with that or...the game is done and ready and they don't need all those extra people anymore?
