Re: For Sale: WWE?!

This guarantees Vince stays on forever lol. Probably going back to larger role.

I'm very okay with this deal, and seems Vince is as well. Getting ~$3 billion more than your companies worth is a pretty snazzy deal.

Nick Khan did say he wanted to go back to the old model. And UFC I believe does still do that PPV model?

If they just stick with Peacock and keep the network the way it is now, that's fine. A bonus if they turn the US network into how the international networks are like.

The Canadian version of the network is 90% perfect. Only thing missing is lack of an app (you can get the network as a regular tv channel, but the on demand network is only from your laptop which you can stream to tv, but that's a much bigger chore than using a phone when it comes to pausing, skipping or doing anything like that during what you're watching)

If that’s true I think they’re overestimating how many people would be willing to buy a $70 PPV every month when they’ve been conditioned to $10 for last 9 years.

That's the point.

Going to a different model could flop worse than Netflix when they had all those cancellations after limiting password sharing.

I can't see them being that tone deaf to go back to PPVs. That ship sailed for them long before they started giving them away for $9.99.

Way better than Saudi or Disney. So hey.

Just need creative to stay the same. And if they created one network for ufc and wwe and their libraries and PPVs that'd be great.

Still think there's MEGA money in a potential combined ufc/wwe Wrestlemania.

Re: For Sale: WWE?!

Something about Endeavor I never knew is that they've been running the WWE Network for the last 4 years now through Endeavor Streaming.

So now them owning WWE hopefully doesn't change much about the network since their technology is already driving the network.

I don't think they should ever have a combined WWE/UFC event. Many UFC fans hate WWE don't they (even though they were probably former WWE fans).

If they have a new streaming service, maybe it works similar to the other ones. It's not a single network for WWE and UFC, but it'll be a service where you can subscribe separately or together.

Let's say each company is $10 a month for their part of the service. If you sign up for both, it ends up being $15.

If they do a combined weekend, I hope WWE keeps the Saturday night PLE slot and UFC happens in the same venue on the Sunday.

Re: WWE Sold to Endeavor

It's official
https://corporate.wwe.com/news/compa...023/04-03-2023

The way I read it, WWEs valued at 9.3B and UFC at 12.1B.

The company will be called "NewCo" for now until they actually come up with a proper name.
