Re: WWE Sold to Endeavor

The official name of the company overseeing WWE/UFC will be called TKO Group

I guess this is basically what Titan Sports once was?

Re: WWE Sold to Endeavor

They said it'll happen in the 2nd half of 2023.

Not that they'll revolve a business deal around a tv storyline, but I wonder if timing wise WWE officially announces all of this on TV during a big event like sumemrslam.

Re: WWE Sold to Endeavor

Looks like August 2023 is the final month of the non Endeavor era.

They said mid to late September is when it'll be closed. Layoffs also expected. Obviously it'll impact the offices, but we'll see how deep it goes.

Better not touch their video package people, especially whoever did the Rhodes/Lesnar one.

The way some people are speculating, they're wondering how many Legends get released. The ones getting paid to be "ambassadors".

Their ambassador list apparently includes Beth, Backlund, Boogeyman, Eve, JBL, Nash, Menounos, Maryse, Mosh, Steiners, Steamboat, Waltman, Slaughter, Tatanka, Fujinami, DiBiase, Undertaker, Thrasher, Titus. Who knows how accurate that list is, I'd imagine half aren't even being paid by WWE anymore.

And how much roster cuts do we see? If people get released, is it just gonna be people we have barely if ever seen on TV like a Garza/Humberto, Tozawa, Jinder and others, or could we see some notable names also released?

Re: WWE Sold to Endeavor

September 12th is now the date everything is expected to be finalized.

So we have 1 more SD and maybe 1 more Raw before the takeover. I wonder if they'll announce anything officially during Raw.

Re: WWE Sold to Endeavor

Never thought I'd see the day that WWE wouldn't be owned by a McMahon.

You still wonder what really went on behind the scenes, because at one point (in the 00s) it really did seem like Shane and Stephanie would take over for Vince. Then Shane flat out left all things WWE related for years. And obviously the stuff we've seen the past year or two where Stephanie left, but then was forced to come back, then left altogether after too.

Things really haven't been the same internally since Linda left. I know people blame her political stuff for why they went PG/declined, but I think her being the CEO really helped them a lot. Vince didn't have as much on his plate, but once Shane left and Linda left and Vince had to be CEO AND continue doing his regular stuff, that took its toll.

That TKO belt was fun. Make that WWE's BMF title, lol.
