Re: 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil

I love what ESPN FC did today. They came out with a Best Xl NOT selected for World Cup.

GK: Lopez (ESP)
Back line: A. Cole (ENG) Clichy (FRA) Miranda (BRA) Rafinha (BRA)
Midfielders: Coutinho (BRA) Nasri (FRA) Donovan (USA)
Forwards: Tevez (ARG) Negredo (ESP) Rossi (ITA)

Wow nasri wasnt picked? Tevez also? Thats surpising. Negredo had no chance because Spain national team is the same group of dudes every year. Basically if you dont play for real madrid or Barcelona youre not making it lol and Rossi isn't even a real italian. The dude was born and raised in new jersey, his fault

Re: 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil

I'm still trying to figure out just how I'm going to watch World Cup games while at work.

Wish I could just not work for a month. I think I'll be able to watch the 9am game in full. It's the 12pm and 3pm games that are going to be an issue.

Ugh.

Nasri & Tevez aren't big surprises at all considering they've been blackballed from their squad for some time now.

If you have a desk job you can probably watch on a phone with WatchESPN. And I can't believe I missed Falcao getting cut, not that bad of a choice though if he's still hurt.

Re: 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil

Australia's 23 is named:

Quote:
Goalkeepers Mat Ryan (Club Bruges), Mitchell Langerak (Borussia Dortmund), Eugene Galekovic (Adelaide United)

Defenders - Jason Davidson (Heracles Almelo), Matthew Spiranovic (Western Sydney Wanderers), Ivan Franjic (Brisbane Roar), Bailey Wright (Preston North End), Ryan McGowan (Shandong Luneng), Alex Wilkinson (Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors)

Midfielders Oliver Bozanic (Luzern), Mark Bresciano (Al Gharafa, Qatar), James Holland (Austria Vienna), Mile Jedinak (Crystal Palace), Mark Milligan (Melbourne Victory), Dario Vidosic (Sion), Matt McKay (Brisbane Roar), James Troisi (Atalanta), Massimo Luongo (Swindon)

Forwards Tim Cahill (New York Red Bulls), Matthew Leckie (FSV Frankfurt 1899), Tommy Oar (Utrecht), Ben Halloran (Fortuna Duesseldorf), Adam Taggart (Newcastle Jets).
The main question with this team: Will they score a goal? I think Cahill will poach one just out of sheer effort.
