Ilya Mikheyev 4 years, 19 million from the Canucks? Seems like a huge overpay. I guess that's free agency.

Re: NHL 2022 Offseason

Wings active on day one of FA:

Andrew Copp- 5 years, 5.625 M per
David Perron- 2 years, 4.75 M per
Dominik Kubalik- 2 years, 2.5 M per
Ben Chariot- 4 years, 4.75 M per
Olli Maatta- 1 year, 2.25 M per

This on top of adding Ville Husso at the draft for 3 years, 4.75 M per

I don't know if this makes us good, but these adds along with new coach Lalonde should make us more interesting to say the least.

Re: NHL 2022 Offseason

Canes traded for Burns AND Pacioretty!?

And Vegas gets basically nothing for Pacioretty either.

Gaudreau leaves 10-15 million on the table to sign with Columbus?

I'd better let someone at EA know they need to fix NHL's FA logic again.

You're not wrong. He better be a Selke nominee for that money.

Seems like a small discount to make sure he never has to listen to Darryl Sutter again.

Re: NHL 2022 Offseason

Leafs making so many small depth signings, it feels like they're working their way up to some big package deal.

I could really see something like Sandin, Kerfoot, maybe even Engvall in a deal

Re: NHL 2022 Offseason

Gaudreau signing with Columbus is one thing but him signing there after seeing them sign Erik Gudbranson to that contract is something else

Feel bad for Flyers' fans though, they had an elite player wanting to join them but their GM had to pay Ristolainen and Tony DeAngelo close to 10M per year

Part of me thinks EJ is getting moved along with a draft pick and the Avs re-sign Kadri
