I agree. I was always enamored with the idea of a Super Mega Football. But as you said, Baseball probably fits better since it isn't a contact sport. Funny now since EA Sports now own the studio that creates SMB. So, I do wonder if EA Sports will allow/help them to do offer sports games outside of Baseball

If I remember right, Metalhead (might be wrong on the company name but not checking myself) put out a statement basically implying that they’re hoping to expand to other sports thanks to the new partnership. At least that’s what I thought it was implying if I remember right.

I believe that is correct. I think Metalhead will still have creative control, but EA will provide them with more resources. But I do think a Super Mega Football would be a great game. The way they did their Franchise for SMB would do well with Football. The main concern would be having the right game engine for the gameplay. You can have a good blend of it being Arcade, but still feel realistic like SMB.

I'm sticking with the Draft-early June window. With the NFL wanting the game out before the NFL season, you would imagine we see a title reveal or something relatively soon. But without knowing the scale of the game, it's hard to guage when we will see a full reveal.

The people saying we're going to be disappointed don't get it.

NFL 2K5 was the game of my childhood. The way the generation before mine talks about Goldeneye is the way I feel about that game. Everyone in my class played it. We'd go over to each other's houses to play all the time. Going 20+ years deep in multiple franchises. Decking out my crib.

If the day ever comes where I can load up another official NFL 2K game on a console it'll be a bigger nostalgia overload than the latest Spider-Man movie. The game can be complete **** for all I care. I've given up hope of it ever being a possibility. If I'm proven wrong it will be one of the greatest days in my gaming life.

Honestly if they made it similar to NBAs myplayer with a city to play 5on5 or 7on7 games vs other users like NBA does it would be a huge hit
