The good and the bad so far

The bad since it is not much- Just some of the minor league player caps are really bad such as Brett Baty and Francisco Alvarez. Same as they had last year

The good- Game play to me feels super crisp. Hard to explain but just feels more fluent. Also the ball coming off the bat is also very smooth. Overall I am loving the game this year

I'm sure I'll adapt but after numerous games since launch (nearly done with Spring Training) I still find myself looking in the upper left hand corner for the baserunning window for runners on first, and when I see it in the right hand corner I have to do a double take as to whether there's actually a runner on third.

Also when a runner is on second, the window causes a distraction as the runner takes steps towards third durng the windup, because I think the runner is breaking for third and distracts me from the meter.

I know the chances are slim they add the old style back in via patch or update, but man I'd be so happy if they did.
I couldn't have said it any better. I've already had multiple issues forgetting there was even a runner on third. Fortunately, I'm only tinkering with exhibition games right now

I love this game and it doesn't bother me that it's not some kind of exponential leap from previous versions. This is baseball and there are only so many things you can do with it.

One thing I wish they could change is how foul balls down the right field and left field line are handled, both in terms of gameplay and commentary.

If the ball is going out of play the commentators immediately reference the new count before it goes out of play, while the fielders don't activate for us to move them ourselves.

I may be the only person who's bothered by this but I'd like to take control of my right fielder and run toward the foul line and track the ball until it does go out of play and I don't want to hear the commentators tell me it's out of play before that happens.

Maybe for most people this is an extremely small thing, but it frustrates me.

Obviously, rosters need a lot of work and I'm surprised by some of the poor likenesses with the Braves. These things will all get ironed out over time

I was wondering why pitch counts were always in the 90s-100 range after 5ip nearly every game. I honestly am not liking this change as a QC user since they came out with the feature in 2014. I'm feeling forced to turn it off now. Took like 12-15 games before I realized they "fixed" this.

Only caveat is I plan to only play one game per series in my franchise so even playing with QC off I can get through a season.

Also a QC user as I can't get realistic pitch counts and draw enough walks without it (too impatient at the plate usually and usually don't throw enough balls pitching) ...

Unless they balance it out with adding in 0-0, 1-0 and 0-1 counts... which I never understood why those aren't in there for realism sake. The game would still move much faster with still having the ability at times to hit an actual first pitch hit, or having some 1-0/0-1 mixed in there.

I’ll gladly listen to that over Singleton being given two free suits.

They definitely added a lot of players specific commentary. I'm sure some of that will get repetitive over the course of the game, but so does commentary IRL (just not the exact same phrases over and over). The anecdotes feel like things announcers would bring up in a game

Commentary-wise, the best thing for me is only Sunday games and Wednesday games get commentary on. rest of the week, off. I feel like I can hear everything I need to in under 60 games.
