Hmm...been playing pitch speed 10 for years and Legend difficulty and it looks/feels great. I wish there was a 12 speed...lol.

It could have something to do with your monitor/tv and lag time.

Re: The TrueSim Roster Project: MLB 24

Ok, dumb question incoming.

I'm at the point of getting slideritus. Trying to enjoy the game like I did majority of last year, then started reading up on the bullpen issues, simmed vs played etc.

If you don't use 30 team control then there is no way to control a simmed game and those sliders that help keep bullpen usage in check etc. Because after a user game, all cpu games have already been simulated.

So my question is this, if I used this roster but just went ahead and played on default hall of fame sliders would it be ok? Or have the player ratings and adjustments been made with the TrueSim Slider set in mind and work off each other?

Re: The TrueSim Roster Project: MLB 24

I also have a stupid question.

I downloaded the rosters, went into roster control (in the main menu) and set every team's opening day rotation and lineup (using a combo of baseball reference and Fangraphs), and saved that as a separate roster.

However when I start a franchise with that roster, everything I did gets overwritten by starting on Opening Day and it's all wrong.

Is there a way to avoid this? Or is 30-team control required to have accurate OD lineups?

EDIT: To expand on this, if I start my franchise in Spring Training everything is correct. But even simming to Opening Day from there messes everything up.

You would have to do 30 team control and start from Spring Training, then go through and send everyone down to Triple A/Double A.

Unless I'm doing it wrong myself, because I did the same as you in the past and it always auto generates even with all that stuff set to manual for multiple profiles if you don't do the above.

What I did last year was set up 30 team control using the method in the first post, started from regular season, then went through and adjusted all lineups to opening day ones etc. Then saved that as a base franchise so I could restart whenever I wanted and never had to adjust the opening day lineups again.

The only surefire way to get them to stick is to advance to regular season, use 30 team control and set them then.

If you don't use 30 team control, you'll load the Gameplay set, play your game. After your game, load simulation set then advance day.

You can play with whatever settings you want though. I think the other games get simulated when you advance day on the calendar.

You can put pitch speed to whatever you want

The roster doesn't have anything to do with it, it's just personal preference

Umm, can't you load the simulation slider set, go to the calendar and sim all the games of the day but yours, then load up the gameplay sliders and play your game? Doing so should have the stats at the bottom of the ticker update "in real time" as you play. That should be possible with or without 30 team control...
