How’s your franchise going? Madden 24 edition

Every year, i feel like its a race to get the first video to claim Madden is broken. Not my experience thus far.

Jags 24 (cpu) Colts 38 (me)
Did not see this being the first game I dominated. After Agnew took the opening kick back for 6 I thought I was in trouble, but damn, the Colts defense was all over the place. Good run defense, great qb pressure, and very few yards after catch until garbage time. Only issue was me on offense, couldn't punch it in enough. 8 fg's. Yes 8!!

Bucs 40 (me) Vikings 26 (cpu)
Rachaad White ran all over, and the Vikings defense was pretty bad. Cousins was decent, and JJ killed my secondary, but they just had no answer defensively.
Couple notes: been playing 13 minute quarters, with injury down to 40 and I'm still seeing more than I'd like. It's leading to these higher scores, because the clock is stopping so much more than it should be. I'm going to lower injury to 30 and see how that goes. If it's not any better, I may have to drop to 12 minute quarters to get the number of plays down a bit.

Week 1 a win against Carolina 52-42

All I can say KYLE PITTS! The dude went off caught 13 catches for 314 yards! & 5 TDs ! He was open Alot lol 3 TDs came off of him being wide open & burning the secondary

Vikings 34, Titans 33

A last second Mullens to Jackson TD led to a Vikes one-point win. The Vikes will finish up the preseason at home against the Arizona Cardinals.

Did a fantasy draft last night with the Ravens. Relocated them to Australia and made them the Aviators. Literally the sickest relocation uniforms and helmet in the game. Very happy with these. Their home field endzone is a little bit weak, but the uniforms and helmet are great.

I have some major gaps on my team, but my best players are:
- Anthony Richardson (5th round)
- Jamarr Chase (1st round)
- Kyle Pitts (2nd round)
- Tariq Woolen (4th round)
- Jevon Holland
- Jahmyr Gibbs (his speed is insane)
- George Pickens

Went through training camp last night... Loving the new camp drills and setup. Really excited for this team.

a Very Cool thing I dont see many people doing Is Only Playing offence or defense and then when u want CPU to take control, just head over to Super sim but change the game speed to Slow by hitting the square button and then when you super sim games you can watch them play out.

This is how I play as well (with 32 team control) so I'm also curious about this.


My workaround last year was to have a second controller hooked up and just go "hands off" for the defensive controller. If you don't touch anything on the controller after the play call, it will auto play the selected player, but I always made sure to have a lineman selected just in case, so it would have the least effect on plays downfield.

Annoying to do but technically plausible. Would be nice to just switch sides though.
