Re: NHL 24 Impressions

Positives:

Dmen shoot from the point on default rrosters, a big big change for the series.

Pass accuracy percentage is down for cpu

Presentation took a big step up

Cheryl Pounder is officially my favorite announcer by a mile.

Penalty sliders are sensitive, i had to turn it down.

Negatives:

Goalie still flops too much

Pressure meter too big a factor in the game outcome. Im playing on version 1.001.

Does this version include the tuned down pressure meter/goalie fatigue or will that still be coming on Oct 6?

Long Dump button is gone....bad bad

Game flow seems better, not as erratic.

Like most have said, we need the ability to turn off all the visual stuff, pressure, player fatigue, etc.. no need to tell experienced users that stuff when we can tell via game play.
Absolute agreement. That bar in the middle of the ice is very distracting

I'd also like it if it was possible to turn off the showcase animation after scoring a goal. The subsequent cutscene showing the players rejoicing is quite sufficient.

Has anyone found a copy of the colours of all the goalie equipment? If there isn't, it's going to be a pain to edit the goalie.

I commend them for adding the RGB option, but has anyone found where I can put the numbers?

I agree, very confused how the game can be played at 15 min periods. I just played a game at 7 min periods and it took me 30 mins to play. I couldn’t imagine playing hour plus games. At that point I’d rather watch a live NHL game haha

At 7 min periods the stats looked great. Hits are a bit high, but Ill take that over years past where the CPU would only have like 12 hits

D MEN SHOOT FROM THE POINT!! Finally! Overall, I am really enjoying this years game so far. It’s not perfect, but compared to 23, this game is much better. I’ll have a full review later this evening.

In the period I watched (9 minutes, cpuvcpu, mostly default sliders), I saw about 20 shots and 20 hits (10 each per team) with 2 or 3 penalties.
