Wtf? They better have a deal set for tomorrow to get Day 2 picks and 2025 picks. Or else it's essentially a wasted 1st round pick for the 2024 season, when they could've/should've drafted DL, OT Blake Fisher, or Cooper DeJean.

I do still question the pick. It's one thing to draft Penix and with the thought of "We don't plan on drafting this high again". But to give Cousins that big deal and Penix isn't the normal sit and wait type of QB situation. It's not Rodgers/Favre to Love/Rodgers where best case scenario the incumbent starter is good enough to start until contract is up. Penix is going to turn 24, not 21. You don't really want him sitting until he is 28.

4-5 years? He'd be 28-29, I'm not sure that is good resource management.

I like the Q Mitchell pick for the Eagles. Was able to stand pat and draft their highest rated CB on the board. That had to be a hard choice because all the DBs were on the board

Wasn't sure I want to be apart of the 30M APY WR club so quickly with AJ Brown. But at least, the core of the offense is locked in. Hurts, Barkley, AJ, Smith, LT, LG, C, and RT for the next couple years at least.
