It goes back to what I said before too.

Cade just based on the stats like points, assists and so on would be better than Scottie or Mobley.

But when you dig deeper and look at advanced stats, Cade hasn't been as good as the others. I'm willing to bet that's what got Scottie the rookie of the month.

I'm sure if we looked at things like offensive/defensive rating, PER, and other advanced stats for March, Cade wouldn't look as good, but because his usage on Detroit is much higher than other guys are on their teams, a number like points would be much higher.

He has way more assists, but the 4 turnovers per game also factors in when you look at assist to turnover ratio.

How much do the voters look at that for ROY/M though?

Barnes may have the edge in metrics, but I think any award(s) he gets is moreso due to being "a key piece to a rising playoff team"

That's complete horse ****. I'm so tired of hearing about Advance Stats. Below are playoff teams literally saying the opposite. Just watch the ****ing games (not you but the media). If Jalen Green played the way he played for another month. He'd get the same treatment.

I've said it before. I love Barnes. But he does not face the same night in night out defense that Cade does. Literally teams game planning to do whatever (in this case literally break the number one rule on defense to completely ball watch). Especially in the last 3 months.

I'm not saying Barnes can't and hasn't done any of the above. It's just very clear to me. Just watch how teams defend and treat a player on the court. Here is the other thing. Take the top rookies off their team. The Detroit will be complete garbage. Like literally unwatchable.

Here is another question. I've watched pretty much all the rookies this year more than I'd like to admit. Can you or anyone in here (expect Marji) tell me a big game by Scottie Barnes without looking? Like a memorable game.
