I leave them on default. I generally manually sub my RB out when I see him get in the yellow. I just use the quick sub button at the playcall screen. Then make sure to put him back in for that formation after the play.

Where does it show your RB in yellow?

At the playcall screen. If you call plays by formation you can see which of your players are getting tired

Agree, I don't see a whole lot of penalties no matter what the setting is on.
