I was hoping they'd add playable legends, but didn't think they'd actually do it. I remember there were some legal issues with Jack Nicklaus' licensing, and figured any chance we'd get to play as the legends would have been scrapped.

Either way, very well done EA.

One other thing, at least from my view with my setup, the green grid squares and the beads are MUCH more small and narrow than before. I don't know if it's just this Quick Play mode or what, but it looks much more compressed and very different to me.

Nice!

Guessing the grids are really narrow because Jack's putting skill has to be maxed out, and the better putter you are, the smaller the grid windows are.

Well broadcast cam and sounds are still way off IMHO. Also it seems they have not fixed the controller input issue for Steam Users.
Getting the new courses is great though.

I agree throwing this without major announcements is very strange. ApexHound said a couple of days ago that he would be starting a new career and "in a couple of weeks you'll see why". It leads me to believe that for some reason they had to bring forward the release of the update.
I wouldn't be surprised that with TopSpin2K25 launching at the end of April and with the pre-release marketing cycle almost complete, 2K would announce PGA2k25 the week of the Masters.

The update to EA PGA was likely always to happen sometime this week...the Pro Pass Season ended today, and they have always brought a new patch for when the new season starts.

As for 2K25...they have been on a release cycle where the new game gets released later in the year, sometime between August and October. They didn't announce TopSpin until a month before the release of it, and they've done the same with their golf games in the last several years. I wouldn't expect an announcement of PGA 2K25 until sometime late in the summer, if a new game is indeed coming in 2024.
