New York Jets at Salt Lake City Flyers
AFC Divisional Playoff 1ST2ND3RD4THSCORE
New York Jets (8-8)060612
Salt Lake City Flyers (10-6)00000
New York Jets
Salt Lake City Flyers

Flyers season is over. The Flyers have lost at home, upset by the 8-8 New York Jets.

Defense ruled this one.

The Flyers first 3 possessions were interception, 3 and out, interception. Even Ray Rice couldn't get things going, he had negative yards after 6 carries. Thankfully for them the defense bent but didn't break, the Jets only got two field goals from those two turnovers.

The Flyers didn't even get out of their own half of the field during the first half. Second half that changed on the very first play. Tyron Chisholm, only playing because of the injury to Torrey Smith, caught a Pat White pass for 30 yards. A completion to Thompson had things looking good but then White was intercepted and only Ray Rice was was able to stop the return from going the distance.

Flyers then had two drives, starting inside their own 10 yard line. Twice White barely avoided a safety, just getting out of the endzone before being sacked and just getting off a pass. Jets added a third field goal, giving them a 9 point lead with 4:30 left which looked to lock the game up. Indeed it did. Things ended for the Flyers when on 4th down White missed an open Reed.

In the end it was the Jets kept Ray Rice from doing anything and kept receivers from getting open, so White kept getting picked off from trying to force things. A season that had so much promise has ended disappointingly with 3 losses to end the regular season and now getting outplayed at home to lose in the first game of the playoffs.

Re: The Story of Coach B (NCAA 14, Madden 25) Dynasty

I ended up moving the difficulty down for the last couple games, because otherwise I'd be fired and I want to stay at New Mexico State. Until those last two games I was 1-9 and that 1 win was against a FCS team.

I think what I'll do is move the difficulty back for the new season but play around with sliders. Need to get QBs better because there were none in the Heisman finalists.

2015 Season Wrap-up

New Mexico State Info
Overall Record: 3-9
Final polls: N/A
Conf Record: 2-6
Conf Finish: T-7 (out of 9)
Div Record: N/A
Div Finish: N/A
Record vs Top 25: 0-1

Note: Story was the year was we were generally able to move the ball but would stall just out of field goal range. And then missed field goals or turnovers when we got in scoring range.

Heisman Winner: Zach Charbonnet HB Michigan

National Champion: USC
BCS Title Game Loser: Florida State

PAC 12: USC
ACC: Virginia Tech
Big 10: Northwestern
Big 12: Oklahoma
MAC: Nebraska (back to back)
Conf USA: LSU/Tulane/UL-Lafaytte
Mountain West: Utah

Rivalries

Holy War: Utah (3 straight)
Rocky Mountain Showdown: Colorado (3 straight)
Cy Hawk: Iowa
Governor's Cup: Kentucky (back to back)
Paul Bunyan's Axe: Minnesota (back to back)

Cincinnati Bengals at Salt Lake City Flyers
Week 1 1ST2ND3RD4THSCORE
Cincinnati Bengals (0-0)0701017
Salt Lake City Flyers (0-0)01014024
Cincinnati Bengals
Salt Lake City Flyers

The season started out a wild one for the Flyers. Jake Locker got the start in his first game as a Flyer. First drive of the game and first throw, he hit Torrey Smith on a simple comeback, but Smith dodged a defender and ran all the way to the Cincinnati 15 yard line before he was tackled.

So Locker was 1 for 1 for 63 yards and then, before the Bengals lineup was even introduced on the TV screen, Locker was down injured. Which meant rookie Austin Kendall got his first appearance in the NFL, partway into the first drive of the first game, in the opponents redzone, and after a Ray Rice negative rush, also on 3rd and Long. Flyers fans hope that it isn't a sign how the rookie will turn out, Kendall threw a ball to Smith that was picked off and the Flyers walked away with no points.

Thankfully for the Flyers, Locker was back the next drive.

Rice was dominant in this one and so was Locker but the Bengals pulled within a touchdown. They couldn't stop Rice though and the Flyers ran the clock out for the win.

Re: The Story of Coach B (NCAA 14, Madden 25) Dynasty

2015 NFL Midseason

After Locker getting injured each game and coming back, Locker got a long term injury. Locker broke his collarbone and is out 8 weeks. So rookie Austin Kendall has been pressed into the starting role. And has played well. Locker had 4 TDs against 5 interceptions. Whereas Kendall has 6 TDs against only 2 interceptions.

Owner Coach B has looked good with his pair of wideout signings of Darrius Heyward-Bey and Mohamed Massaquoi.

Flyers are 6-0, only three teams left who are undefeated with Minnesota and San Diego at 6-0 as well. Flyers offense is 10th in the league and 1st overall on Defense.
