Coach B inked a new contract to stay as an OC with Tulane. "I'd like to thank the administration here for giving me a new contract. After only a 1 year deal before, it's nice for them to show they have faith in me".

Tulane Offseason

Note: In preseason I'm using a manual progression/regression system to add variety to player overalls. Also, to have transfers happen more, I change their name and then make them walk-on quality. Only doing this with my school. Possibly a couple of random players here or there.

Player Note
  • This one hurts, teams #1 WR Jacob Robertson has decided to transfer. He's headed to Kansas.
  • Promising Freshman RE Zach Williams is headed to WV

- Forgot to add these players to their new schools. Whoops! Gotta remember that next year!

Tulane Preseason
Preseason Poll: #64
Conference Outlook: 4th of 5 teams

- Again, terrible strength of schedule, so we can get some Ws.

Re: The Story of Coach B (NCAA 14, Madden 25) Dynasty

First game of the season ended in a loss for the Green Wave in the Superdome. Which is what everyone predicted but the game was closer than the final score, with Georgia Tech pulling away late.

The story of the game was turnovers. Keon Howard threw three first quarter interceptions, but the Yellow Jackets only turned one into a touchdown. At that point it looked like a rout. However, Howard settled down tied it at 7, before Tech kicked a field goal to go into the half up by three.

Tulane was only down 14-10 going into the final quarter. Again turnovers hurt them, but these were much worse than the first quarter interceptions. Howard fumbled twice, one deep in their own territory. Both of them were picked up by Georgia Tech and BOTH were returned for six.

The schedule will get lots easier from here on out, with a bunch of FCS games and only LSU being the powerhouse left on the schedule.

Midseason-ish 2014 Update

The name of the game is, how Ray Rice goes, that's how the Flyers go. Good game from him and they win. He's 7th in the NFL in rushing yards, Tied for 2nd in backs for touchdowns, and 1st in rushes over 20 yards.

The QB situation has been a problem. Tyrod Taylor has tossed 11 interceptions, with only 3 TDs thrown. Pat White came in and played decently, but then threw 3 INTs against Pittsburgh.

Back to back games, in Seattle and home against the 49ers, the Flyers were never really in the games. Then they rebounded and went into Mile High and dominated the then-Undefeated Broncos which started a three game wining streak.

Now is the time to keep the momentum going, with 4 of the next 5 games at home and the only one on the road is at Cincinatti.

Coming out party for White?

Salt Lake City UT

It may have been Pat White's coming out party this week. White has taken over the starting QB position in the last few weeks from a very underperforming Tyrod Taylor. Last week he threw 3 interceptions. However, this week he's had the best performance this season for a Flyer QB, throwing for 253 yards. Even better, perhaps surpising, was he threw 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. Which no turnovers by the Flyers is a first this season.

Not surprising, his top target was Torrey Smith, who finished with 113 yards receiving.

In the end, the Flyers won comfortably over the Colts 27-6 with the six points by the Colts coming in the 4th when the game was out of reach.
