Agreed, it was hard to find a destination that would've given him both money and opportunity (probably SA would've been a good one looking back on it). Since none of the CPU teams made an offer to Fultz during FA, this was a move I forced to give him a good playing situation for the coming season.

We'll see if Lavine to Charlotte in your universe turns out better than mine. He also joined 2 other "rising stars" in the Bulgarian Brothers universe. He had 3 years of lots of points, no defense, under-achieving teams, and was traded to Brooklyn

Just replace "Simpsons did it" with "Bulgarian Brothers did it" lol.

We'll see if that's how his tenure in Charlotte goes down. Lavine and Lamelo gives Charlotte a higher floor but Brandon Miller and Mark Williams will be the X-Factors in this new-look Charlotte team becoming a Top-6 seed in the East.

For the Hornerts it is a good exchange, some doubts about the defense coupled with Lamelo. But in Charlotte there is a new beginning, new ambitious owners and a head coach ready to begin his adventure by starting the attack from the defense that will try to transmit the work culture

Great points there and something I should’ve touched on in the article.

Charlotte also had the best financials to take on Lavine since Miller still has 3 years of team control left. If it doesn’t work out, their core will all still be 22-26.
