They 100% had a hand in the decline of the wrestling industry. The current generation of wrestling fans were NEVER this bad before the introduction of social media sites like Twitter, wrestlers never had to worry about whether or not a fan who was bored out of their mind was going to dig up something from a decade ago and make it relevant again when it didnt need to be.

The 2022 AEW fanbase and the way they act is similar to the way the 2012 IMPACT fanbase acted, if you werent watching anything but IMPACT, you were a trash fan. You had people literally calling for your account to be reported because the opinion was different than theirs. It's a horrible time to be a wrestling fan right now, regardless of how many options we actually have.

Anyway, speaking of NXT

WWE Reportedly Disappointed With NXT 2.0 Backstage

I guess thats what happens when you release 90% of your talent and force the people who watched your show weekly to be introduced to characters that may or may not even make it out of developmental.

Might just be a rumor but WWE officials are upset with how NXT 2.0 is going. Seems they assumed fans would gravitate to the new stars quicker than they actually have.

Triple H about to pull a Thanos when Vince tells him he can have it back...

It's hard to get people excited for a show where you have no idea what will become of the talent, but odds are that once they make it to the main roster, they'll be much worse off than before and then probably released.

NXT 2.0 is a good developmental show, if you treat it like you did NXT during its first few years.

But being on USA, being 2 hours, the ratings are things they'll care about, and that's not entirely fair for the developmental talent.

I just realized that the sleeping girl on NXT is Mei Ying, the former supernatural character with Xia Li.

Now talk about a major transformation in characters.

What's worse than being the "return from commercial already in the ring" entrance? Having the ring announcer introduce your tag team partner but not you.

Re: WWE: NXT Thread

A small addition I liked this week, the "sideline reporter" like stuff they did where McKenzie just gives an update on something happening backstage in the middle of a match. It felt like when you watch a sports game and in the middle of the game you'll hear whoever is on the field/court talk about a potential injury, or some developing story.

I wouldn't mind them doing that from time to time during shows. I like that more than just doing a shot of the commentary table after a match, or just throwing it backstage to that same reporter, where they will end up just saying that same thing anyways.

Enofe: We need a team name. How about this, we're both bold, brave and........confident. Team BB...

Blade: No!

*Mandy falls in Blades lap, fights with KLR and leaves*

Enofe: Let's go after them!

Blade: Give me a minute....

Enofe: Let's go!

Blade: I said I need a minute.

Enofe: O....

Barrett: Looks like the competition to get a date with Mandy Rode is stiffening up.
