Edit: 5-1 Leafs win! They better carry this momentum into the next game. This is a series they better win.

Speaking of DoPS, Weber fined 5k for his cross check on Simmonds.

Habs also cross checked Simmonds directly in the head late in the 3rd when the game was decided already.

Simmonds also speared one of the Habs players.


The refs call you for tripping when a guy steps on your stick, but checking guys in head, boarding and everything else is almost fair game at times.

Gm3 should be interesting to see who fights.

Already seeing more examples of how fine the line is between good and great in hockey.

Blues lost in 2nd round in 2017, missed 2018 playoffs, won in 2019, now back to back 1st round exits since.

Caps has 3 straight 2nd round exits, won the cup, now 3 straight 1st round exits since.

Even the Pens, a 2nd and 1st round exit before back to back cups, have won 1 playoff round since, and that trend could continue this year as well.



Also...Jets comeback is crazy, if only fans were there, they'd be losing their mind.

Oilers down 3-0 now!?

This seemed like the sure matchup in the North. Oilers with the best goalie and player in the division going up against a struggling Jets team, should've been an easy series right?

I remember Leafs fans even thinking the Jets would be the better team to go up against. Dont think anyone saying that anymore.

Jets vs Habs North Finals would break the country. Matthews and McDavid done in round 1 would be crazy.

So let's hope Leafs vs Jets can be that matchup instead.
