Of all the teams in the league, the Sens being the one not able to play a full team due to the salary cap wouldn't have been my first guess.

Doesn't help that 5m of their teams salary is spent on guys not on their team.

Our long nightmare is over in Leafs land.

Apparently, the Leafs have a new goal song. The Cup is ours.

I haven't heard what it is yet but Hall and Oates had to go away.

I wonder if Vancouver is going to join Toronto in finally exiting the 80s. It's been "Don't You Forget About Me" for a couple years now, which I guess fits, since there are no shortage of Simple Minds in Canucks management.

Very entertaining Leafs-Habs rivalry game to start the season.

Wouldn't trust either team's defense or goaltending based on that game but for an opening night match that was fun.

I feel like the goaltending in the NHL has gotten worse in recent years, would not surprise if me multiple guys hit 130+ points this year

I'm fine with that.

Hockey is at its best when we see more goals. Nobody comes to games to see 40 save performances.
