It was probably CBS.

I've heard this phenomenon in a replay of an OSU/Michigan state game from er I think 1998 or something like that where on certain plays the crowd goes dead silent as it they cut the crowd mics.

It's been known to happen from time to time.

Guys,

That's an audio skip. Trust me. I work with audio for a living and I'd know that sound anywhere. I'm thinking they loaded the crowd noise on some sort of MP3 player, and when it reached the end of the track, instead of cycling back to the beginning, it got hung up. We have a couple of those around my work that do this all the time.

Well, the impact was low. I mean unless it led to the Welker TD. Then we have a problem.
