I have heard or read this a LOT of places now. Apparently, CBS is rather notorious for adding artificial sound to their broadcasts, and it was their sound that skipped (it wasn't heard on the radio broadcast, so probably wasn't happening in the stadium as previously thought).

ESPN or some other outlet have commented on it anyways. It didn't get the coverage it did because little old PFT started it.
