I mean…it’s a know thing that Ruth used PEDs. He missed most of 1925 after he developed an abscess when he was injected with sheep’s testosterone.

I got no problem with corked bats or pitchers putting stuff on their fingers. I think those are the fun forms of cheating. PEDs is just an entirely different level.

I don't know why but I thought I remembered him dying ten years ago. One of the first baseball books I read was his biography/autobiography(?), White Rat. I wasn't even a Cardinals fan but he was such a great manager, taking St. Louis to 3 WS, I had to read it.
