Re: MLB Off-Topic

He actually admitted that he used steroids, but also said that he did not do so complicity. He had used the "clear" and the "cream" in 2002/2003 time frame; when everything about BALCO came out he testified to investigators that he used it, but without knowledge of what was in it. That is why he claims to have tested positive in the Mitchell Report.

He was always a player who was vocal about testing and was asking for testing prior to 2002/2003. From everything I've read, voters who won't vote for him do it based on 1) potential PED's, 2) his terrible defensive abilities, and 3) his reputation as a malcontent.

I do not believe he was a steroid guy in the sense that he took them to make himself something; his numbers are legit, IMO. There are plenty of terrible defensive players in the HOF and his bat more than made up for it. Finally, I think the malcontent thing is overblown. Early in his career in Milwaukee, maybe ...but I would have taken him on my team (I enjoyed his time in Atlanta).

All in all, I think the guy is a HOFr...regardless of what Tom Verducci thinks.

A minor league player in the New York Yankees system has tested positive for coronavirus, sources tell ESPN. He is the first known case in baseball. He was quarantined Friday morning after saying he was running a fever.

Re: MLB Off-Topic

Unfortunately not many MLB games being replayed up here, I'd love some regular season 2015 games to be shown. That summer was insane.

But they did show the 7th inning vs Rangers.

Harold Reynolds is so annoying. He literally ripped everything that happened in that inning, being that "old man yells at clouds" guy. Would love listening to the entire inning with no commentary.

MLBN showing Phillies vs Cubs in its entirety.....from 1979!

23-22 final score.

They're also using their own MLBN graphics when showing who's batting or pitching. How did people survive without scorebugs? And I wonder how people reacted when permanent scorebugs were added to broadcasts. Did they think it was a distraction?

Here's a cool article from 9 years ago, on the scouting of Trout.
