Were we on the same team when that happened? I was getting pissed

I take a little offense to this. I consider myself a through and through Duke fan, no bandwagon in me whatsoever. I watch all of the games that I can, and I follow their recruiting very closely. I just so happen to like Florida football as well. It's been that way since I was 6 years old. I started liking Duke because I used to watch a recorded tape of the '92 UK game at my grandparent's house every time I was there, and I became a Gators fan because of Fred Taylor. I think putting everyone that likes two different teams in the same group is a little too much.

Pretty much everyone I see doing something stupid. Which is most people. When I worked at the mall, customers would come up and not be able to read the menu and ask stupid questions and were just generally irritating.

I think I get to be an exception because I actually have attended/am attending a football and basketball school. Still attended 5 or so basketball games last year and will go to 2 or so football games at UMD, but they just have inferior products.

That makes sense to me honestly, especially considering you're what, 17-18? You've obviously been a fan since you were a child, so 2 different teams makes sense to me, pretty much how I am with FSU and Georgetown.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

See, I was that way with Memphis and North Carolina. Growing up in Memphis, I was always a Tigers fan. But when I was 10 or so, I really started to like the Tar Heels. It wasn't just basketball either. I loved watching football (41-9 upset over FSU was huge), baseball, even womens basketball I got into. I've got a Ronald Curry jersey, a few basketball jerseys and even a baseball jersey. Ed Cota is one of my all time favorite basketball players. I've traveled to Birmingham and New Orleans just to see the play in the tournament.

That really stayed strong for about 8 to 10 years, until I hit about 20. That's when I started to notice that my interest was dwindling for the Heels but staying strong for the Tigers. I wouldn't even get upset if the Heels lost, no matter the sport.

I guess as I got older, my childhood team just kind of faded, especially since I'm now a student at the UofM. A few months back, I actually took down all the North Carolina stuff that hung in my room, outside a flag and a blanket on my wall. Only reason they are up is cause I don't have anything to cover up the ugly walls in my room.

You know what really grinds my gears?

Watching baseball on TV and the pitcher steps off the mound and the crowd boos. They immediately think it's a balk. It's annoying as hell because 90% of them don't even know what a true balk is. They just boo to boo.
