Christmas 2023. It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year!

Finished watching Klaus.

Wasn't at all the kind of movie I was expecting.

Gave off major Tim Burton/Nightmare Before Christmas vibes.

Seems to get good reviews all over, but just didn't feel like my kind of Christmas movie.

We're already a week before Christmas!

Scheduled to be 50 degrees and raining here on Christmas. Weather doesn't make or break the holiday but something always feels off when it's not even cold out.

4 days until Christmas! When and how did this happen? I've been busy running around and helping my wife get things ready for the 24th and 25th. We've also been busy keeping the kids occupied. Last night we roasted marshmelllows in the backyard. Mary and Christian also built a snowman with the limited snow we have.

Speaking of snow...what in all that is Christmas is going on with the weather. At this point I just wishing for a sunny day on the 25th. I hate when it rains on Christmas Day.

The short version of this Christmas story....through my work I ended up connecting with someone who was the star of a tv show I watched growing up.

Basically, I helped them out big and hooked them up with a sentimental Christmas present that they really love and went out of their way to send a voicemail/audio reply (since we've only been exchanging DMs) to thank me for everything.

It's fun playing the role of Santa, in this case I was a complete stranger to them, I fully expected them to think I was just some spam account/bot or just some weird fan since I reached out to them at first out of nowhere, but they took it seriously and are over the moon excited about it.

Such a random encounter all around that easily could've just been ignored/ghosted (which is one reason I initially was hesitant to do it) but it has such a nice ending to it.

Not that I did it because I wanted anything out of it from them, but sounds like they're so excited about it that they might want to stay in touch in the future too about any other things like that I could help them out with.

Merry Christmas OS fam! Enjoying the TMNT figures, monster trucks, Pokémon cards Santa brought for my son but I’ll tell ya what this mini Simon Says might be my favorite. Love pushing a good button, lol!

Some family is coming over soon and the ham will be hitting the smoker shortly thereafter. It’s an eat, drink and be merry day for real!

Merry Christmas to everyone at OS. The season has been too busy a flew by. This morning was full of excitement for the kids and we are now at my mother-in-laws for breakfast and more presents. Kids are having a great day.
