Someone made a unlimited saving mod:

I really hate the sparse auto saving in this game so this mod is a lifesaver.

It’s not always available, but a bed is a save point.

One thing I'm really appreciating early on in this game, you are just a regular guy.

You aren't some hero coming in to save the day. You have to run from fights to save your life, you are basically a novice in everything you do. This isn't like some RPGs where you are this character that starts off ready to take on the world.

The other thing I enjoy is the historic aspect and not just another fantasy game in this setting. The fact that your character doesn't know how to read to start but there are skill books in the world that would make it worth learning how to read is great.

not every bed is a safe point from what im seeing. Only a bed that you've paid for or own.

btw, there was a patch today for the ps4. Also, didn't want to try it but there is a crippling bug i've noticed. If you are pickpocketing and accidentally pull up the map or inventory, the game freezes and there is nothing you can do but turn it off and load a previous save. Might be important to know considering the infrequency of saves.

I will be honest. All that stuff seems like a negative to me. I don’t want to be a normal guy. I want to be awesome. And I don’t want to waste time learning things like how to read. If I want to feel like a regular guy and not know how to fix a car, I will just open my eyes and have my wife call me an idiot lol.

Yeah I honestly can see that. I wouldn't recommend this game to some of my friends for that very reason, but for me it's a huge selling point. Whatever the character turns into is because of my doing, not because he was handed powers before I started the game.

I saw someone on Reddit laugh at people for wanting to play this game because of the novice character aspect and say someone could sell them rocks and they would buy them.

It's not for everyone!

I personally like minerals.
