No clue man... I really was not creating a roster project for the community just doing like I usually do every year in my own file, but keep to myself. But thought you guys should see what some small tweaks (but requires a lot of editing time) can do. It could be a week or a month at latest. I like to test in game and watch, play, play and watch over and over for a team until I get each team where I want. Making sure plays are working and play types are in the right order too for a good variety in game... But you can see the file updated constantly as I'll just save and share everytime I make an adjustment...

Thanks for doing this Vann. I know you don't consider yourself a roster maker because you do it for your personal use but I think I speak for a lot of us when I say you have a real talent for it and I appreciate you sharing your file with us. The game plays amazing with these edits to it. Can't wait for a finished file to start a season with.

Lol! Thanks man, I’m a basketball coach and used to do a ton of scouting reports for university with detailed breakdowns. I’m always watching off ball actions. Same rules apply in video games in watching off ball and actions.

Anyways that being said I was just offered an assistant head coach position at a university tonight starting immediately that I am weighing. Season has already started which is a odd situation. So, If I take it (taking a few days to weigh it all out with family) then I will probably be done editing sadly and not around here as often... Or at the least it will take me awhile to finish what I started, but I’m close. Hopefully all the findings helps everyone enjoy the game more than before!

1 thing I was testing though and trying to get more of especially with shot fake Global edits in was players biting on pump fakes to allow for some drives on the bite. When I do it As a user I see it every so often. But Cpu vs cpu not so much. It drives me crazy to see a pump fake and a defender have no reaction to it whatsoever! Messing with shot contest and blocking tendencies as well as defense iq. If anyone wants to dabble with that and test lmk findings...

Re: Tendency edits that are game changers for realism?

Taking a glance at the roster and it seems that tendencies are really only personalized about 15%. The things that stand out, are specialist. It's not a problem to me but it's evident that they don't try to capture each player's play style completely.

Right now I'm in the process for PS4 of applying your posted Global edits van. But I am thinking about starting up my own project. Basically it would be a collab of your Global edits Sonic mage edits and my personal twist and taste on tendencies and badges.

As I'm grazing through the Tendencies though one question that is raising my eyebrow is the spot up mid-range tendency most higher-rated players are leading their teams with this category. The thing that comes across my mind is very few players are actually spotting up in the mid-range area that's more where post guys and stretch guys are spotting up. For example the Warriors Durant Klay and Steph those guys should notoriously be spot up around the 3-point line. I think by lowering the spot up mid-range tendency and raising the regular mid-range tendency it leads me to believe that guys can still get their mid-range shots but they will get them off screens or off the dribble Drive pull up.

Because let's be honest the only reason one of those guys are spotting up for a mid-range is because they have already attacked the hoop and dished out and are reestablishing back towards the 3-point line but get caught with an open pass in the mid-range area.

Typically only post up guards and stretch forwards will spot up in the mid-range area (giannis, melo, PG, Livingston, derozan, AD, bg32, gasol, Dirk, LA, horford, tatum,Joe Johnson,ECT role scorers that sneak into mid range

Agree 1000% with all of this post! You could tell focus was on getting superstars pretty accurate but everyone else an afterthought unless we are talking warriors although those are pretty bad too. But the 1 mid spot up drove me nuts! I significantly dropped this!! I have off screen mid higher and mid spot up drives higher instead for more drives. IT kills spacing and always a bad contested shot too. Like you said good for pick and pop guys. The other 1 that you need to find sweet spot for is for the pull up j’s. We still want them to do on fast breaks but in half court game I was trying to get more step back jumpers instead depending on the player player...

This is kind of an older 2k Theory I've always had but I am in the boat of believing a higher shot mid-range tendency naturally gets players to shoot more from that area universally. Because the Tendencies are broken into zones on the floor >>> from there there are more specific tendencies that then create behaviors in a Zone.

Imagine a 99 shot tendency - 40 close - 99 medium- 40 three
Hypothetically with a ratio like that he will shoot around 16 shots a game im willing to bet 10-12 will be mid range,

With your desires to increase step back jumpers I have 2 resolutions : spike mid range tendency and the driving step back (2x original value at least)

Or spike "driving step back tendency" into the often range 75-99

I look at tendencies with the mindset of given when in position to execute Rarely 0-25 average 26-50, above average 51-75 often 76-99

I personally would probably do the second one, I don't think that would affect fast-break so much because if a cpu felt the need to perform a step back in a Fastbreak he either is going to have a wide open fast break step back pull up or the defense is going to bite on his gather and he's going to Dish
