Good article on the reasons why Conor/Floyd will likely never happen:

even if they did fight, Conor would need a few fights just to get to the point where it's reasonable, and winning against any name guy at any weight class is a big stretch, it's just a different game.

Against lesser competition, sure he can win - one good thing about switching from mma/kickboxing for guys is they no longer have to worry about kicks, or anything else - Ray Sefo won a few fights after his K1 career. But none of those guys would be able to hang with the top dogs.

Re: OS MMA Random Thread

tuf24 finale on now. Pretty good fight card tonight don't think it'll disappoint.

I expect McGregor will actually box. I bet he'd get the Nevada licensed soon anyway cause I would think Mayweather v McGregor if ever would be in Vegas.

Sad to see Hughes and Liddell no longer with UFC, scary so many leaving after the buyout.

e: Good stuff on the prelims, hopefully now we see some guard pulls in the next ufc game. Ryan Hall's style would be interesting simulated in the game against all the body 1 2s lol; and against the body kicks, the parry window to catch kicks should be larger in the next.

People throw that and body 1 2s in the game(maybe should be a way to target chest like in stacked but standing) way more than parrying, we definitely don't see that as much in real life either.

Main card now
Moreno
McMann
Cannonier
Masvidal
Benavidez
Johnson

What a performance by Font! Of course Schnell is a flyweight, but slick performance regardless.

It's much better than the torpedo body combinations online, this is pretty much a 2016 variation of Gracie bjj which is the basis of modern mma.
