Re: Competitive over Simulation for Franchise

Are we able to say what, precisely, changes for the better on comp? Is it sharper QB play, better line play, a combination, something else? Curious to know more specifics!

For me right now. I'd say a combination. The CPU is playing much smarter against. It doesn't help I'm going against mahomes right now.

I just finished my game against the falcons and mahomes, I lost him, he got me.

I'm playing Sam Howell and the saints right now and somehow missed his first two passes of the game and then threw it deep for a pick.

So far has thrown 3 ints against me.

I couldn't get more than one on mahomes if at all.

I'm also noticing better catching animations aside from just the offense of cpu being better. Their defense also seems smarter

Interesting. So you’re all leaving the main menu difficulty all-pro and sim? Then all-pro and competitive within franchise?

Re: Competitive over Simulation for Franchise

I’ve been playing on comp in my Raiders franchise now for several games, and I’ve seen markedly better play out of the CPU QB than I did on sim, for reasons I can’t comprehend.

I’m seeing much more intelligent responses to the HUM pass rush and better decision making overall; prior to changing modes, I was seeing the CPU QB act dumb and run into sacks they didn’t need to take, and over the long haul, this was having a negative effect on my franchise experience. With those needless negative plays out of the way, I’m getting stiffer competition out of the CPU, and I feel better about my wins.

There are some differences with injuries, fatigue, and penalties, but I’d rather have sounder decisions from the CPU QB than any of that other stuff, and you can tune fatigue and injuries somewhat. I don’t think penalties will ever be right.

Are you playing on Default All-Pro/AM Competitive(Main menu & CFM)?

How has your HUM running game been?

And lastly have you seen fumbles?
