Those going the competitive/ AP route: are you using any slider modifications, or playing straight-up default?

I checked the YouTube channel of the guy mentioned in the OP, and man, do I wish he made User vs. CPU sliders! He says he really likes Matt10 on that stuff, but he makes a good case for Pro as the base level for the game, which Matt doesn’t really dabble in, though Playmakers does.

Yes I’m seeing injuries. I know people say this is placebo, but i have simluation on in main menu (on accident) and competitive in my franchise. But i doubt that has anything to do with it, just throwing that out there

Yeah. I use ML’s all pro sliders with competitive. Only thing i changed was CPU pass reaction and pass coverage to 40. Plays pretty good for me

Hes actually moved to SIM and All Pro now. He changed it in episode 24.

Franchise SIM is dead. Find your favorite iterations and play it forever. Card games are whats "now" and games will cater in that direction and forget realism.

Just have fun and play :)

Re: Competitive over Simulation for Franchise

Thanks for the update, Forme.

FWIW, I checked out a game on default AP and competitive mode, and I really liked what I saw. Even on default 25 INJ, I saw several guys go down.

Re: Competitive over Simulation for Franchise

I tried playing some with default All Madden sliders on Competitive with the only adjustments being 95 speed parity, 85 fatigue, and 50 injuries. The plays themselves played out well and I was pretty satisfied with it compared to what I've been playing, but the play calling was still atrocious. The last game I played was vs the Bengals and they had 2 total rushes for the game, 1 of which was an RPO bubble screen that was just thrown slightly backwards, so they had only 1 designed run they called the entire time.

If EA can fix the CPU's play calling, I'll probably stick with Competitive I think, but the play calling issue is just killing the entire experience for me at the moment.

Re: Competitive over Simulation for Franchise

Are fumbles possible with competitive?

I always play all-pro. I'm doing competitive, first game in franchise fantasy draft against the falcons and mahomes dotting me up. Barely throwing a incompletion. 16/18
Cpu's two minute offense was crazy before half time on me. I'm good/great user with the linebacker/safety.
