Just had a great game full of huge plays in the first half followed by tough defense in the second. This concluded with a 4 minute game winning drive by the CPU. I am now comfortable with these sliders to officially release Version 1.0. Unless I discover some glaring issues or a patch changes gameplay, I will not be testing these again until HFA is fixed. There’s no way to give the cpu and human different special teams sliders in franchises FYI

So Michael mayer runs a 4.70 40-time, so hypothetically, would 75 player minimum speed threshold mean that his speed rating would be closer to his irl 40-time? Mayer has 82 speed and 86 acceleration just to clarify!

What an embarrassing oversight - thanks for calling this out. I've updated the OP for the USER settings to mirror what I had for the CPU. It will be on the user to not abuse the kicking settings if they want to see solid results in the ST aspect of the game (no unrealistic FG distance, adjusting the arrow to avoid kicking the ball out of the endzone 100% of the time, etc.).

I never use the arrow for special teams and instead rely on the meter for my direction. Makes the kicking game a lot more interesting!

If he is running a 4.7 at the combine then with pads on he's running ~4.9-5.0 as I believe pads add anywhere from .2-.3 per the reliable google machine. So if you jump into practice mode, have him spread out and run a fly from the 40, he should be just around that number of 4.9-5.0. I just handtimed this using the stopwatch app on my phone to time his route from 40-goaline in replay mode and he is right within that range. In conclusion I think that 75 threshold accurately represents a player's speed and acceleration more closely than other thresholds being used.

I do a hybrid of this and not paying attention enough during the kicking game as in past iterations they've become so automatic that it's become quite a slog in the game. Because of this, I am usually good to miss one every other game or so, which has turned out to be a blessing in disguise!
