KRAKEN UNABLE TO COOL OFF RED HOT HABS
October 26th, 2021

The Kraken hosted the Montreal Canadiens, a team that has started off the season with a 5-0-1 record. The Habs seemed to have continued they excellent play from last seasons cup run.

Some sloppy play in their own end cost Seattle as the Habs jumped off to an early 3-0 lead. McCann (1G 1A +2) and the first line led the way in the second period as the Kraken countered with three goals of their own.

Montreal broke the 3-3 tie late in the third period with a powerplay marker. The second ranked powerplay in the NHL didn't take long to setup and bury the go ahead goal past Grubauer. The Habs would add an empty netter to extend their win streak to four games.

GRUBAUER SHINES AS KRAKEN BLANK THE WILD
October 28th, 2021

Phillip Grubauer recorded the first Kraken Shutout in a 2-0 Win over the Wild.

Philipp Grubauer earned First Star honors for the second time this month as he made 28 saves in tonight's game in Seattle's 2-0 win over the Wild and Grubauer's 19th career Shutout.

Donskoi tipped in his third of the season as Seattle was able to capitalize on the Powerplay to get the go ahead goal. In a tight checking affair, it was all that was needed as Eberle was about to add an empty netter.

SWARTZ POWERS KRAKEN TO 6-3 WIN
October 31st, 2021

Jaden Swartz scored 4 goals in Seattle's 6-3 Win over the Rangers.

Jaden Swartz was electric tonight as he and the top line for Seattle dominated the depleted New York Rangers. The Rangers were missing 3 of their Top 6 Defenseman and it clearly showed, as the Kraken's top line accounted for 5 goals and 5 assists.

Tonight marked the end of the Kraken's inaugural home stand where the team went 3-1-0. The team will now travel to Edmonton to take on a red hot Oilers team.

NO MCDAVID, NO PROBLEM
November 1st, 2021

The Kraken didn't have long to celebrate their win as they quickly boarded a plane to fly to Edmonton for their first back to back game.

The Edmonton Oilers were missing their star player in Connor McDavid, who was out of the lineup with a high ankle sprain. Seattle capitalized on two powerplay goals to put them up 2-0. McCann would end the game with 1g 1a to continue his point streak.

KRAKEN CAN'T SOLVE ANDERSON
November 4th, 2021

Mason Appleton tallied 1 goal and 1 assist +2 in tonight's 5-3 Loss to Buffalo

Sometimes they say you need to be good to be lucky, but unfortunately none of the bounces went Seattle's way tonight as they had three opportunities to tie up a 2-1 game in the second period.

Craig Anderson, who found himself with a new team this season shined in net as he saved 41 of 44 shots fired against him. Anderson, who was use to being busy in Ottawa seemed to get better the more shots he faced. Despite picking up the 'W' Buffalo suffered a loss when star defenseman Rasmus Dahlin fell awkwardly into the boards. No immediate word on the extent of his injury, but it looks like he may miss some time.
