How big is that monitor? Can you use it for anything elsewhere?

I haven't read through the entire thread, is your PC used for gaming?

Just as a estimate how good of a PC will I need and what do you think the price range would be on it. I wish to god that I could just pay one off in payments.

I dont need a monitor either.....I wish I knew someone that can build PC's.

Only thing that I need is a HDMI input so I can use my tv as a monitor. Wireless internet for it would be nice but isnt a necessity.
I am the least mechanical and technical person I know and I did. I guarantee with a little searching on the internet for video guides, you can easily do it.

Indeed, building one isn't bad but troubleshooting one you build can be a bear. [quote]

Yes, it can. Since I have built several, I have spare parts that I can stick in to narrow down where the trouble is. For instance, I have several old video cards that I can replace if it appears the video card went bad.

Motherboard: BIOSTAR TZ77B LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Processor: Intel Core i7-2600 Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2000 BX80623I72600
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115071

Only thing now is my graphics card which I have no clue what so ever what to get. I want this to play Diablo 3, Arma 2, Command and Conquer Generals 2 and Company of Heroes 2 solidly. However 2 of those games dont have specs yet, lol. I might just look at the Diablo 3 specs and select a card for it. I am at a total loss when it comes to whats is better and such for the cards.

Im now just looking over everything making sure their compatible with each other. Im a noob (I hate that word) at this so any help is appreciated....lol.

Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread

Candyman I'd go with 550-600W power supply. The 430W is not going to be enough and it will cause you some trouble depending on which video card you get.

For video card, go with a 560 Ti or higher.

You can even get by with an i5 for gaming, but if you can afford the i7 it's not a bad idea.

Same price RAM. A lot more reviews, might be a little safer.

Personally if I was going to be doing a mid range build like yourself. I would do the following:

Intel i5-2500k processor
560 ti graphics card
8 gb ram.

Here is a sample build:

You can search around for better sales on like items, but you get the general idea. This will run everything at max. You can probably spend another $100 and go up to a 570 or something on the graphics card and really be kicking butt.
Thanks for the help man. Went with these main specs as well as a few suggestions from the guy at Micro center who was very helpful. Ended up under my $800 limit so I was very happy.

Just finished putting it together, which was very nerve-wracking. First ever build of my own. Just went with the manuals and some common sense. Lol. But everything seems to be working just fine. I'm just hoping I didn't mess something up. Need to zip-tie the wires and clear up the clutter and I should be rocking soon.

Thanks to everyone for the help and suggestions.
