If they didn't fix it in the Fifa 17 development cycle it ain't getting fixed.

Bursting is the worst bc it completely ruins the authenticity of dribbling past a defender bc the game is actually just giving it to you. Completely ruins the game.

It's just taking the ball past players with dribbling/sprinting, and the AI is totally incapable of dealing with it. Just try holding sprint and running through the midfield, it's way too easy and kills the fun for me knowing I can get into dangerous positions essentially for free.

It's mostly because A) the pressing player either just gives up or zips forward with this stupid twitchy animation and gets left for dead and B) the second player doesn't cover properly. I don't think sliders can't address either of these issues, certainly not the first one. Maybe one of those cl.ini files could.

It definitely exists just in normal gameplay movements. If you lower the acceleration slider .... whenever you are face to face with a defender and try to dribble with pace by them the CPU can't handle it and just lets you go by. You don't need to seek it out... dribbling with pace is normal gameplay...


So, you are left with playing FIFA with a high acceleration setting (to combat bursting) which is tough to stomach bc the game is so fast then.


After hearing FIFA 17 still has bursting I didn't even waste my time downloading the EA access trial.

To be honest, your posts generally just criticize the games flaws, and are extremely negative. We get that you arent happy with it. Why do you insist on reminding us?

The negativity doesn't help the problem(s). Nobody is forcing you to play this. If you're so unsatisfied, just move on man.

Decided to do Origin Access and put some time into FIFA. I've only used up 4 of my hours and all I can say right now is: This game is a mess with default sliders (maybe it can be fixed I don't know) but with any decent player you can just move right through the defense. No issue. Sometimes a defender will be running head on with you and just run right past you as you stroll right by him with the ball. And this is all on Legendary.


Bursting is a problem again. Hold trigger down and just run around all day like an idiot. I wish FIFA didn't have all the licencing because the game looks great and the presentation is pretty wonderful as per usual. (Playing on an Ultrawide 3440x1440 is a thing of beauty.) But the game play my blah. Not sure they will get my money this year.

This year will be the first FIFA I don't buy for almost 10yrs and its actually quite sad - - like Matt, there is a particular nostalgia and attachment that I've had to the franchise for so long, and I look forward to opening up the new box in the fall to see what new surprises I'll find. But seeing so many of the same issues from last year is too much.

If we don't at some point stand up for ourselves and vote with our pocketbooks, what the hell is the point?

I know it's a bit of a dirty word around here, and I've been completely unable to jump the fence to PES mainly for the lack of licensing, but this year with the addition of Option files on Ps4 you can essentially get all the licensed content with minimal work. So I'm making the switch, I figure there's nothing to lose, as FIFA is broken.

Sorry FIFA, it was fun while it lasted.

Amir, that's not how this works. We work together, and not create our own entire set. The game isn't out yet, so we're waiting for everyone to get the game, then start working on it. Thanks.
