Career Update
Around the rumor mill

West Lafayette, IN - Sources tell us that Coach Mumford has stated he'll hang up his whistle, for good, if he's let go following the completion of the 2013 season. His Boilermakers currently sit at 1-3 and their next game marks a series of games against Top 25 teams. Coach Mumford is an abysmal 0-22 against the Top 25 in his career.

If I were you, I would schedule easier opponents. Seems like you play a lot of top 25 teams.

With Purdue you really can't help it. The only one I could possibly get rid of is Notre Dame but the rest are Big Ten opponents.

Career Update
Mumford's out...again

West Lafayette, IN - It's seems as if every 3 years Coach Mumford is on the chopping block as some university's head coach and he always finds more work. Well, he's on the block this year as he and the Purdue Boilermakers have parted ways. This after his best season there posting a 4-8 record. We're sure he'll land on his feet somewhere and eventually make an AD proud.

Career Update
Mumford back on the west coast

Berkeley, CA - Coach Mumford began his career on the west coast at San Jose State University and has landed back in sunny California. This time though, he's in Berkeley taking over as the head man of the 2-10 California Golden Bears. "I simply want to restore the Golden Bears to what they were when I started coaching at San Jose State and that is a good team," said Coach Mumford during the press conference when the Bears' Athletic Director made the announcement.
