Re: College Football Off Topic

Bray was the best choice for keeping some of the players around. I assumed he was the choice a couple days ago because he was one of the few who hadn't already bailed for Michigan State. He'll have a difficult time keeping many around but he's got the best chance. Last year when we played Florida in Vegas, I think they were missing 20. We'll be lucky to only be missing 20 and a razor thin staff left for it.

That's what I thought it would be. Generally refs will call games evenly to try and not impact the game instead of actually calling the penalties committed. What happens, outside of the ACC, is the top teams will be called for fewer penalties. In order to keep the numbers close, the refs will just not call penalties against the overmatched team because the better team still made the play or it would become a flag fest.

The ACC is different and several refs actually go out of their way to try and screw the top teams. It's like the ACC, the triangle area, tries to screw itself and hurt the top ranked teams instead of following the other conferences and staying out of the games.

Nm on the SDS, was thinking of another school

Perris Jones walked out of the rehab center in Louisville and will be returning home.

Glad the kid is ok.

Oklahoma hires former North Texas head coach/Sooner alum Seth Littrell as their new offensive coordinator, and add the title of co-OC to tight ends coach Joe Jon Finley.

Sounds as though Curt Cignetti will be the next coach at Indiana.

It will save you some time to just wait and list the ones who don't go in.

I'm still not sure about how I feel about the Transfer Portal. In a way, I'm for players having the same freedom as coaches when they want to go to a better/preferred situation. But, it feels like most guys enter the Portal just to enter it. I'm still more of the old college ways, I guess. I like to see a team organically grow a team/culture. It almost leads to a game of musical chairs where a lot of games end up having to go back or drop down. Which also affects recruiting. Even if a recruit isn't 100% sure on a school, you almost have to secure a scholarship while it's available then decide if you want to decommit/flip later
