Go Hokies.

We'll see how well Rivers plays against Michigan State on Tuesday. Any predictions from you guys? I was pretty pleased to see how well our bigs did against UNC for a lot of the game on Friday, and overall, I thought it was a pretty good performance, there was just no way we beat North Carolina.

With an injury to Sammy Zeglinski (...again...) it looks like freshman Malcolm Brogdon will get the nod at point guard in Virginia's opener against South Carolina State. I'm interested to see how he does, and if he can hold onto the starting spot throughout the season.

Why? MSU isn't any good this year. Izzo's a great coach and all but the talent level isn't there, especially in the backcourt. I do like the kid Dawson though. Showed some heart after hurting his knee.

The ACC is going to be really bad this year. Dook & UNC will easily handle the rest of the league minus FSU.

How can you say they aren't any good this year?

I can't speak for the eight other non-UNC-and-Duke teams in the league, but neither Duke nor UNC will "handle" Virginia. My Wahoos may go oh-fer against them, but the Heels and Devils are each going to get a dogfight.

I think with the new coach, the same can be said for NCSU. Then with their recruiting class next year coming, things will be different.

I think both UVA and NCSU are going to surprise people in the upcoming years.
