The calls that we "get" are the same ones UNC got in the 80's. ESPN just didn't have the pull they have now, and run every single Duke non-call or borderline call or even bad call into the ground. Lately though Duke hasn't been getting those calls we were so famous for getting back in the 90's early 00's. If anyone brings up that Gardner crabwalk on Jay Will again I'll bring out the rule from which the ref agreed it was and why it was a non-call. That's one call I was sick of people whining about especially when it was in the rule book, and the ref and Hank Nichols head of the NCAA in refs were quoted as saying that was why there was a non-call on that one.

BTW the worst call I've ever seen was from Rick Hartzell against NC State in the Sweet 16 in 1989. Dude screwed Chris Corchiani a basket saying he traveled when he didn't and the basket gave State the lead over Gtown. It should have been a AND 1!!!!!!!!! I've hated Rick Hartzell ever since for that call. Messed up a great Duke-NC State Elite Eight matchup. That was V's last great team too. Laettner destroyed Zo in the next game, but would have loved to see the Reg Season champs in NC State against Duke one more time for all the marbles.

Haha, he was trying to put it all on UNC, claiming they had the beneficial whistles. I just thought it was funny that a Duke fan was the one the point that out.
