The Vista Peak Prep Bison and Grandview High School Wolves met to settle a score. A controversial call on a strike in last year's match-up that bounced Vista Peak from playoff contention led to a near-brawl, leaving some bad blood between both squads.

Grandview High School Wolves starter Sandy Rogers was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Vista Peak Prep Bison, 5-1. With the win, Grandview High School pushed its record to 10-4.

In his 76-pitch effort, Rogers allowed no runs on 1 hit over 6.1 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 7.

"We had everything working," said Rogers. "I think we erased any doubt from last year."

Top Stats:
GHS P S. Rogers (W): 6.1 IP, 0.69 ERA, 1 H, 0 ER, 7 K, 1 BB
VPP P J. Spurling (L): 5.2 IP, 3.66 ERA, 9 H, 4 ER, 6 K, 3 BB

GHS SS J. Lovely: 3-5, 1 R, 1 BB

So are you just using The Show for screenshots but OOTP for the actual simulations?

Yeah, I was originally going to use MLB 2K12 for the in-game pictures but I finally got around to learning how to use The Show's tools.

Thornton Hands Grandview Loss, Rogers' First
CHSAA Staff | April 6, 2020 8:30 PM

(Raleigh Stokes/DenverPost)

The Thornton High School Daredevils picked up a crucial late-season win, knocking off the Grandview High School Wolves, 3-0. On the mound for Thornton High School was left-hander Sterling Morrison, who played a pivotal role in the win. Earning his 1st save of the year was Justin Chitwood. The win elevated the Daredevils to 10-9.

Thornton High School used the bat of Ryan Lazzaro to capture the win. The designated hitter jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Daredevils ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

Grandview's star pitcher Sandy Rogers earned his first loss in the season, and only lasted into the third inning.

"We didn't score," said losing head coach Scott Henry. "That was the problem."
