Honestly what is the difference between simulation and arcade? Legit question, not trolling. Lol.

I've seen some light weight detection where sometimes a smaller guy won't be able to lift a bigger one for a suplex, or a dropkick will just stagger a big man but not take him down, etc. I'm guessing Arcade eliminates even that bit? I honestly have no idea.

A good series that illustrates such differences is For a Motorsport and Forza Horizon. The goal of Motorsport is to emulate realism as much as possible. Horizon still offers a simulation element, but mechanics are more "gamified" meaning there's intent for unrealistic elements made to enhance the fun factor.

Visual Concepts took a Forza Horizon approach to the WWE series. They kept the looks, speed, presentation, and movement, with a simulation style, and to have the game look visually to what you see on television, but there's "gamified" additions... like combo breakers for instance, as well as removing reversal stocks, and movement is a bit faster than real life, but these design choices are meant to make the game more fun.

I think they nailed the balance.

Lol, I made a whole blah blah blah post not realizing he was asking about the options in the game itself lol.

Yeah, you are right, all weight detection is removed.

Simulation is the wrestler who’s smaller is limited to what they can do against some heavier opponents and arcade is no limit everyone has their respective moves set and it can be used on anyone

It's probably me, but I just don't see professional wrestling in need of simulating like other sports games do, mostly because it's a scripted sport. I just want my wrestling games to be fair, competitive, and fun, and 2K23 is those things to me.

I never said or tried to say that this game is bad. Not at all, huge steps forward since last Year!
But if you can bring down Omos, Andre The Giant, Big Show with a snapmare using Angel Garza or an heavyweight... There's something wrong.
Anyway I understand that it would be probably too difficult to balance online matches with a "real life simulation" weight detenction
