Pre pandemic WWE is so glad pandemic wwe happened (minus Edge and McIntyres big moments).

Gave them time to step back and evaluate things.

Don't forget, pre pandemic WWE had women's division featuring Lacey/Ric story and Reigns with dog food feuding with Corbin.

How times have changed.

I completely disagree.

They were doing just as much dumb, goofy **** during the pandemic as before. The Zombie Lumberjack (the goofiest thing they've done since 'The Zombie' in ECWWE) match happened during the pandemic.

Plus, people were complaining about Vince's decisions, booking and storytelling - minus the start of the Bloodline - just like before and after. I remember being pissed once fans returned, feeling like Vince "dropped the ball"/killed the goodwill built back by live crowds returning, and being close multiple times to going on a wrestling hiatus.

But the Bloodline is 100% the reason they are doing better now. A hot angle on top makes everything under it look way way better than it actually is. They still have plenty of bad bad content now every week. But the crowds are livelier because that top angle feels like a big deal.

My main point with the "it saved their ***" comment was that they were able to wipe clean the slate and have crowds that were actually excited to watch a live show in person again. Crowds were dead and were going to stay dead without that break.

To me it's more about that than some of the stuff they actually produced during the pandemic. They had that dumb magic **** with Alexa, the cringe Bayley show (I love Bayley, but...), and the dumb stuff you mentioned. The pandemic stuff sucked too agreed.

Re: WWE Releases

Layoffs coming tomorrow. Could just be within the office but we'll see how bad this could get.

All WWE office employees told to stay home on Friday to allow HR to "privately" handle the firings.

Re: WWE Releases

Sounds like no talent cuts coming today, but they will be happening.
