I just meant "free" in the sense that they could sell it primarily as an archive of historical footage, plus getting to PPVs. Kind of in a "You get all this - PLUS this other stuff" infomercial way - just wording it differently to entice people to sign up.

It looks like it's going to be a $10/mo. subscription like Hulu or Netflix that includes all PPVs in HD except for Wrestlemania. It's supposed to go live the day after Elimination Chamber but probably won't play any shows already on network television. It also looks like you're going to be able to get Wrestlemania 30 included if you pay for a certain amount of time at the start.

What people don't realize is that cable and satellite companies bank over 60% of PPV revenues so the WWE only get between $15-$20 for each ppv buy. If they offered this service they can probably capture more sales and net a bigger profit.
