Re: WWE Money In The Bank 7/1/23

Montez Ford not being in the men's MITB is the big shock to me. The guy many said would be the fave isn't even there.

Priest and LA Knight are only guys I see winning that. But is this the first MITB where all competitors never won the world title in WWE before? I hope if LA wins he doesn't lose the cash in or just challenges for a non world title, that would be a waste.

Womens MITB, I think it comes down to Iyo and Bayley, with one turning on the other. Either Bayley steals it from Iyo and gets that extra heat, or Iyo turns on Bayley and gets cheered. No matter who wins, let them have an actual lengthy run with the briefcase! MS.MITB has been built up so horribly. The fact that James Ellsworth has gotten more time with the briefcase than almost all other winners is sad.

The amount of times they keep hyping up the women's MITB winner never losing makes me think this year will be the year they lose. Maybe it plays into the story? Bayley wins by stealing it from Iyo, Iyo sticks with Bayley until the cash in where Iyo costs Bayley the match. Sadly that sounds like a short term briefcase hold. But it would be an interesting twist. The biggest winner from the MITB isn't even someone in the cash in match.

I'm surprised during all this we never got Rikishi showing up.

I wonder what their plan was for that "family reunion" that got scrapped last minute on favour of the Zayn trial.

I guess it could still happen, Reigns powerbombing Rikishi to send a message to the Usos?

Ciampa got "No One Will Survive" as his theme, Baron Corbin brought back the Lone Wolf gimmick tonight on NXT. Imagine the pop if they announce, "The Bruiserweight, Pete Dunne" on Saturday.

Was that Corbin’s original music? It didn’t sound familiar but it’s been so long

I don't know if they'll suddenly change his name while he's with the brawling brutes.
If they really want to not have his real name, "Bruiserweight Butch" Dunne also sounds cool.

It feels like a longer version, but then again, his old NXT entrance took a lot longer. Full sail was the better setup over the PC, you had an actual stage and ramp. The PC is just a walkway.
